Workshop - Drawing Real Animals with Sandra Morris (Selwyn)

Taking children through the steps of drawing live animals - from looking initially at basic shapes and then drawing the form. Working with quick gestural studies and then longer intense observation.

An introduction to the animals involved - A look at examples of animal drawings in different mediums with an emphasis on sketching.

Demonstration of gestural drawing to capture quick study. And then more intensely observed drawing starting with basic shapes and then forming the 3D body

Discussion on animal's mood/stance etc and how to capture this - facial and body expressions. Discussions on importance of our own wildlife.
