News Update March 2013

We are pleased to announce that one of our illustrators Matt Katz has been selected as a finalist for the Gavin Bishop Award for illustration. Matt's entry will tour around the country with the rest of the finalists and the winner. Congratulations to Matt!

News Update 2009

NZ Post Childrens Book Awards 2009

Sandra Morris illustration Agency is proud to announce that three of its illustrators won awards
at the 2009 NZ Post Childrens Book Awards.

  • Philip Webb illustrated Piggity-Wiggety-Jiggity-Jig by Diana Neild (Scholastic NZ) which won the Honour Book Award. (Read the PDF announcement)
  • Sarah Anderson (previously with the agency) illustrated The Were-Nana by Melinda Szymanik (Scholastic NZ) which won Childrens Choice Award. (Read the PDF announcement)

The awards were announced at a reception held at the Auckland Museum on the evening of 20 May 2009. We were thrilled to have Sarah Foster, publishing manager for Walker Books Australia attend the ceremony along with other NZ publishing representatives and shortlisted authors and illustrators.
