Malene Laugesen

Malene Laugesen attended the Danish School of Design and moved to New Zealand in 2008. She is starting her Masters in Fine Arts at University of Canterbury in 2023.

She has had books published in Denmark, New Zealand and the US, with publishers such as Houghton Mifflin, Egmont, Roaring Book Press, Upstart, and One Tree Press.

Malene draws much of her inspiration from fairy tales, dreams, the old architecture of Europe and the amazing nature of her new home, New Zealand.
